What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts which is based upon the understanding that good health depends, in part, upon a normally functioning nervous system (especially the spine, and the nerves extending from the spine to all parts of the body). "Chiropractic" comes from the Greek word Chiropraktikos, meaning "effective treatment by hand."

About your first visit
Your chiropractor will start with a discussion about you, your health and your reasons for seeking chiropractic care. The consultation usually lasts between 15 to 30 minutes. You will have a thorough case history taken which will not just be about your presenting complaint, but also about your past health history. A complete chiropractic examination including neurological and orthopedic testing will be performed, followed by a report of findings. Your condition will be discussed in detail and a treatment plan recommended. Your questions and concerns will also be addressed after which, your treatment will commence.
